SSC revises exam dates for Stenographer grade C and D recruitment 2026; city slip released

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has adjusted the exam schedule for the upcoming Stenographer Grade C and D Tier 1 recruitment test in 2026. Now, the examination will be administered from September 9 to September 15, 2026, compared to the previous dates of September 9 to September 12, 2026. Moreover, on September 1, the commission announced the release of the city intimation slip for the Stenographer Grade C and D exam on its official website, ssc.gov.in.

Registered candidates can now access their respective city slip by logging into the portal using their credentials. To download the slip, follow these steps: visit ssc.gov.in, search for the relevant link, enter login details, log in, and finally download the slip for future reference. The SSC will release the admit cards about two or three days before the exam.

For candidates using the 'Own Scribe' facility, fresh scribe registration is required, as the previous registrations closed on November 5, 2025. The new scribe registration process involves Aadhaar Authentication and submission of the scribe's registration number to obtain the Entry Pass. Scribe One-time Registration (OTR) mapping must be completed by September 7 to generate Entry Passes.
