#SHOWBIZ: Saleem's son Amirul weds as estranged brother Syafiq Farhain reunites with him

KUALA LUMPUR: Amirul Mukminin, the 23-year-old son of late singer Saleem Iklim, married Aisyah in a ceremony held on Saturday in Cheras. The wedding was celebrated at Masjid Bandar Tun Hussein Onn and attended by Ameng, the vocalist of Spring band, and his wife, Sabariah Zakariah, who shared the event on Instagram. Amirul's estranged half-brother, Syafiq Farhain, 32, was also present at the wedding.

Sabariah, widely known as Cik Baya, expressed her joy at being invited to the wedding and conveyed her prayers for the newlyweds' marital happiness. She also lamented the absence of Saleem and Amirul's mother, Juriah Bachok, who is reportedly in poor health. Sabariah praised the siblings for maintaining their family bonds, especially given their past estrangement.

Syafiq revealed that Ameng and Sabariah played a crucial role in reuniting the brothers after several years of distance. Both Syafiq and Amirul acknowledged their brotherly bond, with Syafiq expressing gratitude for Ameng's support and acceptance. Saleem Iklim, the father of the newlyweds, passed away on October 14, 2018, following injuries sustained in a road accident on September 21 of the same year.
