#SHOWBIZ: Dragged under reversing truck: Rizalman asks for prayers as son recovers in ICU

Fashion designer Datuk Rizalman Ibrahim has requested prayers for his adopted son, 24-year-old Umar Nail, who is currently recovering in the intensive care unit following a severe accident. On Saturday, Umar was reportedly struck by a reversing ice truck near Wangsa Walk and subsequently dragged under the vehicle for an unspecified period. The incident left Umar with critical internal injuries, notably a damaged liver.

According to an Instagram Story shared by Rizalman, Umar had stepped out briefly after assisting his father in cutting some kuih lopes before walking along a pedestrian path. As the lorry unexpectedly reversed, it struck Umar, dragging him beneath the vehicle for a few seconds. The accident caused Umar to suffer severe internal injuries, with his liver being particularly affected.

Upon the incident, bystanders and Umar's friends intervened, assisting him and transporting him to the hospital. Initially, Umar's condition was described as critical, but it has since stabilized. However, medical professionals continue to closely monitor his health, with special attention paid to his liver. As of now, Umar is reported to be stable, with doctors diligently observing his condition.

Rizalman revealed that Umar's decision to visit the ATM to withdraw his monthly salary, intending to gift it to his father, led to the unfortunate accident. The designer has expressed immense gratitude towards family, friends, followers, media practitioners, and hospital staff for their unwavering support and prayers during this challenging time. He extended his heartfelt thanks, asking everyone involved to continue offering prayers for Umar's recovery, hoping that God's intervention will ensure a full healing process.
