Introducing Ball State's quarterback, Keldric Luster, who has gained significant attention online due to his unusual stature. Luster, a fourth-year transfer, previously played for Texas State. He became the starting quarterback for Ball State on August 25. Luster played two games for SMU as a freshman in 2023, which allowed him to redshirt that season.

Before transferring to Texas State, he played five games as a redshirt freshman. In his collegiate career, Luster has completed 4 out of 12 passes for 37 yards and has rushed for 16 times for 76 yards.

Luster's viral moment came after his promotion to the starting role. Standing at 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 250 pounds, his unorthodox size for a quarterback has garnered attention. During training camp on August 19, Luster shared his perspective on his unique build, stating, "I've been riding with a chip on my shoulder my whole life, so it's really nothing that phases me, honestly." He mentioned that he has seen quarterbacks of his height succeed, citing Kyler Murray as an example.

Luster's positive outlook on his stature seems to have resonated well with fans and media alike. A recent tweet highlighted his performance during a game against SMU, showcasing his efforts to block a linebacker in a 50-point game.
