SAFA to announce Pitso Mosimane as Bafana Bafana coach
The announcement is expected to be made at 11am this morning during a press conference.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) is anticipated to introduce Pitso Mosimane as the new head coach of Bafana Bafana at 11am today during a press conference. Mosimane is set to replace Hugo Broos, who resigned from his position following the end of the FIFA World Cup co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States. Broos guided South Africa to their first knockout round in World Cup history.
Mosimane is poised for his second permanent term as the national team coach, having previously held the position from 2010 to 2012 before being dismissed by SAFA due to South Africa's failure to reach the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. His primary objective will be to prepare Bafana Bafana for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, which begins with matches against Guinea and Eritrea next month.
