Richarlison demands ‘respect’ in emotional statement on Spurs future: ‘Don’t try and decide for me’

Richarlison has hinted at a potential emotional return to Everton, expressing frustration that "never again will anyone decide my future for me" in an emotional Instagram post. The Brazilian forward has been critical of recent decisions affecting his career. Tottenham had held talks with Everton regarding the transfer of Everton's Iliman Ndiaye, while also considering Richarlison's potential return to his former club.

City eventually signed Richarlison. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi had previously stated that Richarlison was left out of their matchday squad for a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle due to his repeated requests to leave. Richarlison, who has openly discussed his mental health battles, stated that he would only consider leaving a club if it was in the best interest of the club itself.

He emphasized that he stayed with Tottenham despite their struggles, giving everything he could. Now, he hopes that any future transfer negotiations will be handled with the respect he has consistently shown for Tottenham and those who have worked with him.
