Resident Evil Movie Popcorn Bucket Is an Organ Transplant Bag

Resident Evil moviegoers can now purchase a unique popcorn bucket in the shape of an organ transplant bag. Both AMC Theaters and Regal Cinemas have posted images of the concession collectible on their social media accounts, announcing that tickets for the video game movie adaptation are now on sale starting September 17. The AMC post reads, "One Job: Deliver the Popcorn!

See RESIDENT EVIL and purchase our concession collectible starting 9/17, available in theatres only while supplies last." Meanwhile, Regal posted, "Need a transplant? We recommend this popcorn bag 🫀🍿 Get your hands on the Resident Evil Organ Transplant Popcorn Bag when you see Resident Evil at Regal."

The popcorn bucket is just the latest promotional item for director Zach Cregger's Resident Evil film. Sony recently released a new poster for the movie, featuring weapons and a barbarian. The film, directed by Cregger and starring Austin Abrams, has seen Cregger reveal that Abrams narrowly avoided death during the shooting of a zombie scene.

Cregger has also admitted to taking creative liberties in making the movie better, despite the fact that Resident Evil 2, the game his film is inspired by, did not include snow or iPhones. The director has confirmed that the film includes first-person sequences and references the sinister Umbrella Corp. from the games. Resident Evil is set to hit theaters on September 18 and is expected to have the biggest opening weekend of any movie in the Resident Evil film franchise.
