Polish PGZ Interested In Joint Ground Robotic Systems Production With Ukraine

Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ), a Polish defense holding company, is exploring a joint production project for ground robotic systems (GRS) with a Ukrainian partner, according to Rafał Harmoza, director of PGZ's international cooperation department. Harmoza stated that PGZ is closely monitoring the advancement of Ukrainian defense technologies, such as drone, missile, and electronic warfare technologies, which provide an advantage to Ukraine's Armed Forces in combat situations.

Following the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, PGZ has initiated negotiations with a potential Ukrainian collaborator for the GRS project. A confidentiality agreement was signed in August, enabling both parties to exchange classified information, with the next step being a cooperation agreement. This agreement would facilitate the implementation of a detailed project, involving joint production with the Ukrainian partner.

PGZ representatives emphasize that any agreements with Ukrainian defense enterprises are primarily tailored to Ukraine's requirements, adhering to the 'Build with Ukraine' or 'Build for Ukraine' principle. Additionally, the Polish defense industry is keen on establishing production facilities in Poland, given the escalating Russian attacks on Ukrainian soil.
