Pixel 11 Pro bug causing static sounds in recordings while using Video Boost, fix coming [U]

Google has acknowledged a bug affecting Pixel 11 Pro devices, causing static audio during video recordings when utilizing the Video Boost feature. The issue has been reported by numerous users, with the problem described as noticeable static bursts occurring every few seconds in recordings, akin to a Bluetooth device being near the limit of its range.

A video shared on Reddit provides a clear demonstration of the issue. Although users have experimented with potential temporary fixes, such as clearing the cache within the Google Camera app or disabling Audio Zoom, Google appears to be aware of and actively addressing the problem. The company has confirmed that a fix is imminent and will be provided through a Camera app update in the coming weeks.

Additionally, further performance enhancements will be included with an upcoming monthly Android update. The Video Boost feature, initially introduced on the Pixel 8 Pro in 2023, leverages cloud processing to significantly enhance video quality. This feature is currently exclusive to Pro models.
