Pas confirms receiving invitation to Umno General Assembly

KOTA BARU: The Pas has officially received an invitation from Umno to attend their upcoming General Assembly, scheduled to commence on September 9. Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has confirmed his attendance, along with three other prominent Pas leaders. The invitation letter was addressed to the Pas president, secretary-general, and the additional members.

The Pas has previously attended the Umno General Assembly in 2019. Pas has not yet decided whether the other two leaders will attend, although they plan to make a decision later. The Pas' decision to participate in the 72nd Umno General Assembly, which will be held from September 9 to 12, is not new. The inaugural day on September 9 will start with a briefing from the Umno president, followed by the opening ceremonies for the Wanita, Youth, and Puteri Umno assemblies. The remaining days will focus on individual conferences for these three groups.
