Nigerian National Bureau Chairman Visits ECOWAS Brown Card Permanent Secretariat

Dr. Lucas Durojaiye, Chairman of the Nigerian National Bureau and Managing Director of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, embarked on a three-day working visit to the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme's Permanent Secretariat in Lomé, Togo. The primary objective of the visit was to engage in high-level discussions aimed at fortifying the Scheme and enhancing its contribution to regional integration.

During the visit, Durojaiye participated in a courtesy engagement with the Permanent Secretariat, where they held constructive talks on issues of mutual concern. These discussions centered on areas such as institutional cooperation, operational effectiveness, and the strengthening of relations between the National Bureaux and the Permanent Secretariat. Other key topics included digital transformation, claims management, and the continued advancement of the scheme in support of regional integration.

Upon the conclusion of the visit, the Permanent Secretariat expressed its gratitude to Durojaiye and the Nigerian National Bureau for the three-day engagement. They praised the Nigerian National Bureau for its spirit of cooperation, commitment, and support towards the Scheme and its institutional objectives. The Secretariat emphasized the significance of maintaining close collaboration, regular consultation, and constructive engagement among the Scheme's member bureaux, especially as the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme progresses with its institutional and digital transformation.
