New China Rescue Vehicles Arriving in Islamabad This Month

Pakistan is set to receive 21 state-of-the-art fire and rescue vehicles from China later this month, aimed at enhancing emergency response and disaster management capabilities in Islamabad. The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan confirmed on Tuesday that the fleet of vehicles, valued at Rs. 3 billion, will be delivered in September. This significant upgrade will bolster the capital's emergency response infrastructure, enabling more effective handling of high-rise building rescues and other challenging incidents across the city.

The initiative underscores the enduring partnership between China and Pakistan in public safety and disaster response, as highlighted by their strategic alliance. The announcement follows Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's recent trip to China, during which talks centered on bolstering bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
