New Age Defence, BRDO develop Drone Security Index for other countries, starting with Germany

Defense alliance New Age Defence and Ukrainian expert organization BRDO are collaborating on a Drone Security Index initiative. This project aims to assess a country's ability to counter drone threats effectively at various stages and in different scenarios. Managing director Kateryna Mykhalko of New Age Defence revealed that the methodology will be neutral and can be applied to any country worldwide.

The focus is initially on EU member states, with Germany selected as the pilot country due to its central role in NATO's collective defense. The index will help European countries systematically incorporate Ukraine's operational experience into their national security strategies and assess their readiness annually, not just in times of war but against modern hybrid threats based on new technologies.

The final version of the methodology is set to be published as an open European framework for the pan-European Drone Security Index analytical platform, with materials made available to governments, armed forces, think tanks, and research institutions interested in comparative assessments of their countries and contributing results to the platform.
