Kee Ming clinches RM40mil M&E jobs in Penang, Selangor

KUALA LUMPUR - The Kee Ming Group Bhd subsidiary, Kee Ming Electrical Sdn Bhd, has recently secured two M&E engineering contracts worth a total of RM40 million for industrial projects in Penang and Selangor.

The first contract, valued at RM21 million, involves the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of various systems, including air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation, fire protection, electrical, telephone and extra-low voltage services, as well as building management systems. The warehouse project is located in the Valdor Industrial Area in Penang and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2027.

The second contract, amounting to RM19 million, covers electrical services, fire protection and air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation systems for a warehouse in Taman Perdagangan Elmina, Selangor. This project is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2027. Both contracts were awarded by a contractor involved in the design, supply and installation of steel structures, civil engineering and building construction.

Kee Ming's managing director, Ir Liew Kar Hoe, highlighted that these awards bolstered the group's industrial project pipeline and showcased the company's extensive M&E engineering capabilities. He emphasized the company's ability to deliver integrated solutions for industrial developments. Liew also noted that the industrial segment continues to be a significant market for the group, with these recent awards expanding their exposure in key locations across Penang and Selangor.

At June 30, 2026, Kee Ming's outstanding order book totaled RM206.4 million. The company stated its commitment to expanding its project teams and operational systems to accommodate a more extensive and diverse portfolio of M&E engineering projects.
