KAA: All Kenyan airports resume normal operations after ATC disruption

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) announced that all its airports are now functioning normally after the full restoration of Air Traffic Control (ATC) services. According to KAA, both arriving and departing flights are being handled across the country's airport network. On the morning of today, the major airports managed a total of 244 flights, including arrivals and departures.

Specifically, Wilson Airport handled 140 flights, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport managed 55, Moi International Airport processed 23, Eldoret International Airport attended to 14, and Kisumu International Airport catered to 12.

KAA has been working in collaboration with airlines and other aviation partners to gradually restore flight schedules and ensure the smooth passage of passengers and cargo. Passengers whose travel arrangements were affected by the ATC disruption are advised to stay in touch with their airlines for the most recent flight information and to verify their plans before heading to the airport. The authority stated that its teams are fully staffed and ready to maintain safe, secure, and efficient airport operations.

This situation arose following the earlier interruption of aviation operations due to a prior interruption of ATC services, which caused flight delays and left passengers stranded at different airports.
