While Apple has only promised a fall release to the general public, the analyst believes the update will arrive on Monday, September 14.

This prediction is based on historical trends, with Apple typically releasing new iOS versions a few days after its September event. The "Surprise and Shine" event is scheduled for September 9, and the analyst notes Apple's consistent release schedule following these events. In 2025, iOS 26 was released nine days after the September event, and in 2024, iOS 18 followed seven days later.

Only one instance over the past decade saw a longer release window, in 2019 when it took nine days. Historically, most iOS releases have occurred five, six, or seven days after the September event. Apple has also released five of the past six iOS versions on the Monday following the September event, suggesting this pattern may continue for iOS 27.
