IndiGo Goa-Delhi flight returns to Manohar airport shortly after takeoff due to technical issue

IndiGo flight 6E 2102 from Goa to Delhi made an emergency return to Manohar International Airport in Mopa shortly after taking off due to a reported technical issue on Tuesday morning. All 229 passengers were safely on board when the aircraft landed. IndiGo confirmed the technical problem and stated that the pilots adhered to standard operating procedures before initiating the return.

The airline is currently conducting maintenance checks on the aircraft, which will resume operations once all necessary clearances are obtained. The company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and took steps to minimize it, such as providing refreshments and keeping passengers updated. Alternative transportation arrangements were made for the passengers, who are now expected to fly to Delhi in the afternoon.

This incident follows a similar precautionary go-around by another IndiGo flight from Delhi to Gorakhpur on August 19, where the crew aborted the initial landing and performed a standard go-around as a safety measure.
