Icertis Replaced CEO After Whistleblower Alleged Favouritism: Report

In May, Icertis received a whistleblower complaint alleging CEO Anand Subbaraman's misconduct, inappropriate behavior, and favoritism towards a junior employee. The board of directors began investigating Subbaraman following the complaint. Subbaraman had joined Icertis in 2024 as COO after working at Browserstack for over two years.

He became CEO in August 2025, preceding the recent passing of co-founder and CEO Samir Bodas. On July 17, Subbaraman transitioned to an advisory role without providing a reason for the move. Icertis subsequently appointed CFO Rajat Bahri and board member Jim Moffatt as interim co-CEOs as the company searches for a new CEO. Founded in 2009 by Bodas and Monish Darda, Icertis provides contract management services to enterprises in over 90 countries, with headquarters in the US but significant operations in India.

The company has raised $516 Mn in total funding from investors including SoftBank, B Capital, Greycroft, and Premji Invest. As of 2022, Icertis' valuation was approximately $5 billion.
