‘I cannot fight for myself’ – Shallipopi reveals why he stopped speaking on Dapper case

Nigerian artist known as Shallipopi has announced that he will no longer comment publicly on the dispute with his former manager, Dapper, while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigates the situation. The musician shared this news with his followers, stating that his legal team and the EFCC have requested that he refrain from public statements and allow the process to continue naturally.

This decision comes after Shallipopi had previously accused Dapper Music and Entertainment Limited of withholding royalties from 46 of his songs, prompting him to threaten to involve the EFCC in the case. In his explanation, Shallipopi emphasized that rushing the process could jeopardize the pursuit of justice. He added that his claims against Dapper must be thoroughly examined and that he would refrain from using his music or social media to address the issue at the moment.

Despite this, he reaffirmed his belief in the validity of his allegations. The singer admitted that the case holds significant importance to him, as everything he has worked towards since his youth is connected to it. He expressed his hope that justice will be served, but also admitted to feeling frustrated about being unable to directly address the matter as he had previously done.
