Govt. revisiting guarantee schemes to ensure the deserving get benefits, says CM

Gadag, the Chief Minister of the state, has announced that the government is reassessing various guarantee schemes to ensure that the benefits reach the deserving beneficiaries. He has instructed senior officials to revise the beneficiary lists of schemes such as Gruha Lakshmi and Gruha Jyoti, aiming to eliminate any leaks or misuse of public funds.

The CM emphasized the importance of deserving beneficiaries enrolling themselves with proper documentation, including providing their phone numbers linked to their bank accounts. If third parties' numbers are provided, there will be no fund transfer, rendering the submission invalid.

The state government plans to establish a guarantee implementation committee at the gram panchayat level, headed by MLAs. Failure to form these committees within the stipulated time will result in the government taking the initiative itself. The CM also clarified that the registration of Bharat Jodo Yuva Sangh units will be carried out online.

All government officials are urged to reside in their headquarters and remain accessible to the public, while district, taluk, and village-level officers are required to follow the same hierarchy.

To facilitate public grievance redressal, a new Praja Seva Department has been formed, set to launch on September 5. District-in-charge ministers are required to hold public grievance meetings twice a month, while MLAs must convene such meetings four times a month. People are encouraged to submit their grievances to the Deputy Commissioner and Tehsildar's offices well in advance, with the aim of resolving issues on the spot.

Homeless individuals seeking housing sites can apply with necessary documents; however, those already possessing sites must refrain from applying.
