Google is rolling out a handy new battery feature for Pixel phones

Google is introducing a new Battery Usage Summary feature for Pixel phones running Pixel 10 and later models. This feature aims to simplify the understanding of battery drain by highlighting unusual usage patterns and identifying the apps consuming the most power. According to early testing, the feature is expected to be powered by Gemini Nano and will generate the summaries on-device.

While Pixel phones already provide detailed information about battery consumption, this new feature offers a more straightforward way to comprehend the data. A screenshot shared by Telegram user @avasthiamit reveals that the summary appears at the top of the Battery usage page. It indicates that approximately 15% of the battery has been utilized, notes that this usage is higher than usual for the time of day, and identifies WhatsApp and Google as the primary power-hungry apps.
