Godzilla Dev Wants to Do More Remasters, But 'a Lot of Conversations' Need to Happen First

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is the only remaster Pipeworks has confirmed so far, but there are many other potential remasters on the table. Pipeworks senior designer Simon Strange expressed interest in remastering the other two titles in the series, Save the Earth and Unleashed, during an interview with IGN. He revealed that a recent tool allowed the team to transfer old assets from the Spigot engine to Unreal, resulting in the remastered version of Destroy All Monsters Melee.

However, Pipeworks has not yet signed any contracts with Atari, the publisher, for these remasters. The studio's growth from 12 employees to around 300 has made resource allocation challenging. Strange emphasized that remastering Unleashed could be more complex due to its known issues, but he expressed excitement for the future possibilities, including a 40% remaster and 60% new approach for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered set to launch on November 3, 2026.
