Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.14%

Finland's stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the OMX Helsinki 25 index decreasing by 0.14%. The decline was primarily driven by losses in the Telecoms, Industrials, and Consumer Goods sectors, which collectively dragged shares down. Among the top gainers of the day, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) led the pack with a 2.13% rise, hitting 32.56, while Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) also saw gains of 1.02% and 0.92% respectively.

Conversely, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) were among the biggest losers, falling by 2.55% and 2.36% respectively. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by a wide margin of 98 to 79, with 17 stocks ending unchanged. Brent oil prices for December delivery rose by 4.79% to $92.60, while Crude oil for October delivery climbed 3.02% to $88.35.

Meanwhile, Gold Futures for December dropped 1.35% to $4,421.16 per troy ounce. The EUR/USD exchange rate remained steady at 1.16, and EUR/GBP stayed unchanged at 0.86. The US Dollar Index Futures saw a modest gain of 0.21% at 99.59.
