Fastpotify

Fastpotify is a lightweight Spotify client that offers local playback, library access, and Spotify Connect controls for Linux, macOS, and Windows. The client is a native binary without an embedded browser engine, starting in under a second and utilizing minimal memory. Users can play locally at up to 320 kbps, gaplessly, or control playback on speakers, phones, or TVs from the same window.

Fastpotify allows browsing playlists, Liked Songs, albums, artists, and podcasts, searching the catalog, and editing owned playlists. The client supports MPRIS media controls on Linux and offers a tray option to keep music playing after closing the window.

Fastpotify can transform into a tiny player adorned with classic Winamp 2 skins, spectrum analyser, equalizer, and playlist. It recreates the 2000s vibe, pixel for pixel, and allows users to load classic .wsz skins from the Winamp Skin Museum, becoming a period-accurate mini player with features such as analyser, equalizer, playlist, shade modes, and integer pixel scaling. Fastpotify is MIT-licensed, built with Rust, egui, and librespot, and provides full transparency into its connection and credential model.
