Fall Movie Guide: Here are the films coming out this fall, from September through November

"By Any Means" (Paramount, in theaters): Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Mark Wahlberg star in a 1960s crime thriller based on a true story. "Mayday" (Apple TV, streaming): Ryan Reynolds plays a pilot shot down in Soviet territory, rescued by a former KGB man played by Kenneth Branagh. "Onslaught" (A24, in theaters): Adam Wingard directs a thriller about an Army sniper protecting her daughter from genetically engineered super soldiers.

"Tom & Jerry: Forbidden Compass" (Viva Kids, in theaters): The cat and mouse duo embark on a time-traveling adventure. "Barbara Forever" (Strang Releasing, in theaters): A biopic documentary about lesbian avant-garde filmmaker Barbara Hammer. "Hope" (Neon, in theaters): South Korean filmmaker Na Hong-jin teams with Hollywood stars in a sprawling sci-fi film.

"Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Again?" (Netflix, streaming): Tyler Perry reunites the cast of his 2007 film for a sequel. "Don't Look Back in Anger" (Walt Disney Co., in theaters): A backstage documentary follows the comeback tour of British rock band Oasis. "The Uprising" (Focus Features, in theaters): Paul Greengrass' latest stars Andrew Garfield as a 14th-century farmer leading a rebellion against King Richard II.

"Runner" (Angel Studios, in theaters): A medical courier transports a liver across Australia while under attack from a ruthless cartel.
