Fadu set to join 10,000 young leaders at World Youth Festival in Russia

Ghanaian-Dutch musician Fadu, real name Faduad Hammond, is set to be among 10,000 young leaders from 191 countries at the International Festival of Youth 2026 in Russia from September 11-17. The week-long event in Yekaterinburg will focus on cultural exchange, creativity, innovation and global collaboration. Fadu, who has recently released visuals for her single "Body," has been working to introduce her distinctive rhythm and musical identity to a global audience.

She explains that the addition of electric and bass guitar to "Body" adds an edge and attitude to the song, reflecting her bold personality. The festival, themed "Follow Your Dream," will see a mix of 5,000 Russian citizens and 5,000 foreign nationals, including 1,000 teenagers aged 14-17. This platform promises to be a melting pot for young people to share ideas, culture and ambition, building on the success of previous World Youth Festivals.
