Everton agree deal to re-sign Grealish on loan from Man City

Everton have reached an agreement to re-sign Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season. The 30-year-old England winger is now expected to undergo a medical at the Toffees, with the move anticipated to be finalized before the 23:00 BST transfer deadline on Tuesday. Last season, Grealish played 20 matches for Everton, contributing two goals and six assists before suffering a season-ending foot injury in January.

Despite interest from other clubs, including his former club Aston Villa, Grealish preferred to return to Everton, with chief executive Angus Kinnear confirming they had been in contact with the player. The move comes after Everton's pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye, a £65m transfer from City, and their interest in Monaco forward Folarin Balogun for £40m.

However, talks to re-sign Brazil striker Richarlison from Tottenham have hit a snag over personal terms. Grealish, who has made just two appearances for City this term, has been deployed as a substitute in recent matches and did not feature in their recent win against Bournemouth. Meanwhile, Everton is also considering a potential loan move for Scotland defender Nathan Patterson to Serie A side Torino.

The Toffees' next fixture is a Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday at 14:00 BST.
