Everton agree deal to re-sign Grealish on loan from Man City

Everton have reached an agreement to re-sign midfielder Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City for the upcoming season, while striker Beto has joined Fiorentina for a fee of £14.58 million. Grealish, a 30-year-old England international, is scheduled to undergo a medical at the club and is anticipated to finalize his transfer before Tuesday's 23:00 BST deadline.

Last season, Grealish spent time with Everton on loan, netting two goals and delivering six assists in 20 games before suffering a season-ending foot injury in January. He had previously considered other options, including his hometown club Aston Villa, but opted to return to Everton, as confirmed by their chief executive Angus Kinnear.

Additionally, Everton have secured the signing of Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon for £3 million and completed a permanent transfer of Nathan Patterson from Torino for an undisclosed fee. Patterson, a 24-year-old Scotland right-back, has played 68 matches across all competitions for the Italian club since joining Everton in 2022.

Meanwhile, Everton continues to pursue the signing of Folarin Balogun from Monaco for £40 million and Richarlison from Tottenham, but the latter's transfer seems to have hit a roadblock due to personal terms. Grealish, who joined City from Villa for £100 million in 2021, has made only two appearances this season for his current employers, coming on as a substitute and a bench player in recent matches.
