Estepona Friday night market puts local charities in the square

Estepona's annual charity market will take place this Friday evening at Plaza Antonia Guerrero, with local non-profits setting up tables to discuss their work, recruit volunteers, and sell items to support their projects. The event, known as Mercadillo Solidario, runs from 7pm to 11pm, providing a convenient time for residents and visitors.

The market, which has been held on Fridays for several years, is a Spanish umbrella organization established in 2007. It features various charities, including cancer support, disability groups, animal rescue, and Cruz Roja. Volunteers can speak directly with the stallholders about their involvement, rather than filling out online forms.

Foreign residents can also join in on the fundraising efforts through other local events like Cancelada's charity night markets and AREME's 20-year community work.
