Dyson has introduced a high-end smart toothbrush called the CameraJet, priced at $499, designed to revolutionize oral care. This cutting-edge toothbrush leverages an ultra-fine camera with a 100,000-pixel resolution and a strobing light to detect gaps between teeth and automatically spray mouthwash, ensuring thorough cleaning without the need for any manual flossing.

The AI-driven CameraJet analyzes 28 images per second through Gap Optical Targeting, a feature that instantly sprays mouthwash into detected gaps within just 100 milliseconds. This innovative approach eliminates the need for traditional water flossers by using a gentler, 100-millisecond-long cone-shaped blast of mouthwash, thereby reducing pressure on enamel and gums.

The replaceable brush heads are equipped with softer outer bristles for gumline cleaning and stiffer inner bristles for removing tooth stains, all oscillating nearly 1,000 times per second with dynamically changing angles for enhanced brushing efficacy. Replacement brush heads are identified using RFID tags, enabling the CameraJet to monitor usage and alert users for replacement every three months.

To facilitate optimal mouthwash distribution regardless of the toothbrush's orientation, an air bladder inside the reservoir inflates to fill empty spaces, minimizing air pockets and maintaining consistent pressure. A sophisticated docking station recharges the brush and autonomously refills its 12.5ml mouthwash reservoir in merely three seconds, streamlining maintenance and usage.
