Customs invites 3,852 recruits for screening in Abuja

The Nigeria Customs Service has begun the concluding phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment process, inviting 3,852 candidates for physical screening and documentation at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College in Gwagwalada, Abuja. This recruitment drive, one of the most competitive in the Service's history, saw a staggering 573,680 applicants but ultimately only 3,852 candidates were selected, resulting in a success rate of just 0.67 percent.

The Deputy Comptroller of Customs and National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, conveyed the news in a statement on Tuesday, informing successful applicants about the scheduled event. Candidates are required to bring original and photocopies of their National Identification Number, birth certificate or age declaration, educational certificates, state of origin certificate, two recent passport photos, a completed guarantor's form, and an NYSC certificate, if applicable.

They must also wear a white T-shirt, shorts, and canvas shoes during the screening. Failure to attend on the designated date could result in disqualification. The Service had previously expressed regret over the lengthy process, which began in December 2024, and apologized for the delay in announcing the final list in August.
