Clemson ‘s Swinney says he hasn’t heard from NCAA on tampering allegations he made against Ole Miss

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney stated on Tuesday that he has yet to receive a response from the NCAA regarding tampering allegations he raised against Ole Miss coach Pete Golding in January. These allegations pertain to coach Golding's alleged contact with Clemson linebacker Luke Ferrelli after Ferrelli enrolled at Clemson, even though Ferrelli later joined Ole Miss.

Swinney alleged during a press conference that Golding had texted Ferrelli, "I know you’re signed, but what is your buyout?" Ferrelli initially entered the transfer portal on January 2 and committed to Clemson four days later, before enrolling, attending classes, and meeting with the team. Swinney reported the alleged tampering to the NCAA, who acknowledged they would investigate credible allegations with full cooperation required.

Ole Miss coach Golding later commented on the situation, acknowledging the two sides of every story, and that LSU contacted Ferrelli when a position opened up.
