BJP’s youth push hits campuses and highways

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to intensify its outreach efforts targeting young voters and students, according to recent reports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to engage with students at Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce on Teachers' Day, marking the centenary celebration of the institution.

The BJP's youth wing has launched a month-long motorcycle yatra from Vadnagar to Varanasi, commencing on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Modi's birthday. This yatra will be accompanied by similar expeditions starting from Modi's birthplace in Gujarat and his Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. These teams will cover approximately 100 km daily, reaching out to various districts in both states in preparation for upcoming assembly elections in those regions.

In contrast to previous editions, this year's Sewa Pakhawada places a strong emphasis on engaging school students, college-goers, postgraduate scholars, and young innovators. The BJP plans to organize drawing and speech competitions as part of the "Bachchon Ke Sapno Ka Bharat" initiative, stage performances, hackathons, innovation challenges, runs, cycling events, and bike rallies across major cities.

Additionally, the campaign will include initiatives such as sharing 25 lakh inspirational stories on social media, influencer-led "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra", Seva Jyoti installations, Rangoli Rashtrata, Seva Mera Yogdan activities, Seva Setu Abhiyan, and the Jansevak Mahakumbh, extending from panchayats to Parliament.

The overarching objective of this outreach campaign is to foster a deeper connection between the BJP and young voters through service activities, campus engagement, and grassroots mobilization, aiming to broaden the party's organizational footprint and strengthen its electoral base ahead of the next general elections.
