Birla Public School empowers teachers through Five-Day CPD Programme

Doha, Qatar - Birla Public School demonstrated its dedication to professional development by hosting a five-day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme for its teachers from August 23 to 27, 2026. The initiative aimed to elevate pedagogical practices and improve classroom experiences across all subject areas and grade levels.

The programme opened on August 23 with a session titled "Mindfulness," led by School Principal Dr. Anand R Nair. The session emphasized the significance of mindfulness and well-being in creating a positive, balanced, and supportive learning environment. Teachers delved into practical strategies for integrating mindfulness into their professional and personal lives.

On August 24 to 26, Dr. Dhanya Bhaskaran led interactive sessions for teachers from Kindergarten to Grade V. The sessions, titled "Making Classrooms Talk," "Competency-Based Teaching & Learning," and "Assessment for Learning," centered on enhancing classroom interaction, promoting competency-based learning, and leveraging assessment as a crucial component of the learning process.

Through hands-on activities, collaborative discussions, and the sharing of classroom experiences, educators explored methods to boost student participation, identify learning gaps, and render teaching and learning more meaningful.
