Bahrain strongly condemns Iranian attack on UAE

Manama, Bahrain - The Kingdom of Bahrain has vehemently denounced Iran's recent drone attack on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday, branding it as a blatant breach of the UAE's sovereignty and a perilous escalation that jeopardizes regional security and stability. Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a formal statement, reiterated the kingdom's unwavering support for the UAE and pledged its complete backing for all measures taken by the UAE to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, alongside safeguarding its citizens and residents.

The ministry emphasized that the attack contravenes international law, the United Nations Charter, UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), and the principles of good-neighbourliness. It reiterated Bahrain's call to the UN Security Council to assume its duties and take immediate, decisive action to compel Iran to abide by international law and the UN Charter, halt its hostile actions threatening regional security and stability, and uphold freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and other crucial waterways. This would help mitigate tensions and preserve regional security and stability.
