Al Tayer Motors takes over Kia UAE distribution

Dubai: Al Tayer Motors has secured the exclusive rights to import and distribute Kia vehicles in the United Arab Emirates, as the South Korean automaker embarks on a new phase in the region. The announcement, made on Monday, reveals that Al Tayer Motors' Abu Dhabi operation and Premier Motors' operations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain will jointly manage Kia's sales, service, parts, and after-sales activities across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

In addition to managing Kia's entire spectrum of functions in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Premier Motors will handle the same operations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

This change occurs as Kia broadens its vehicle lineup in the UAE, including electric and commercial vehicles. The company recently launched its electric van, the PV5, with more models set to be introduced this year. Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, managing director of Al Tayer Motors, expressed pride in welcoming Kia customers to the Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors family.

Both companies reassured customers that their warranties, service agreements, and after-sales support will remain unaffected, with no interruption to services.

The new distributors also aim to expand Kia's presence as the brand transitions towards electrified vehicles and sustainable mobility. Hoo Gon Kim, president of Kia Middle East & Africa, noted that the appointment of Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors represents a significant strategic milestone for Kia in one of the region's most dynamic markets.

Al Tayer Motors, which was established in 1982, currently represents a range of international automotive brands in the UAE, such as Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, Foton, VinFast, and Deepal. The company employs more than 3,100 people and operates sales, service, and parts facilities in various emirates.
