262 motorcycles inspected, 155 summonses issued in Klang, Kuala Selangor operations

In Kuala Selangor and Klang, two traffic inspection operations were carried out yesterday, resulting in the inspection of 262 motorcyclists and the issuance of 155 summonses. The first operation, known as Op Samseng Jalanan, took place in Kuala Selangor, focusing on the Pantai Remis and Jeram areas. Police detected a gathering spot for motorcyclists to showcase stunts and modified exhausts, leading to the inspection of 140 vehicles and the seizure of five motorcycles.

The most common offences included the absence of a driving licence, insurance coverage, registration number, and rearview mirror, as well as not wearing a helmet and modifying the exhaust. In Klang, the Op Bersepadu Ambang Merdeka operation focused on Persiaran Raja Muda Musa and resulted in the inspection of 122 motorcyclists and the issuance of 65 summonses.

Additional offences included driving without a licence, expired Motor Vehicle Licence, and registration number violations, along with exhaust modifications and vehicle structure issues. In Klang South, 21 motorcycles were also seized for further investigation due to driving under the influence of alcohol. The operations aimed to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during the National Day Eve celebrations.
