Zubair Kundi assumes charge as TESCO chief

PESHAWAR - Muhammad Zubair Khan Kundi has officially taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Tribal Areas Electric Supply Company (TESCO). His appointment brings a seasoned professional with rich expertise in the power sector to TESCO. Mr. Kundi boasts over 34 years of experience in the power sector. Prior to his leadership at TESCO, he functioned as General Manager (Operations) at PESCO.

Throughout his illustrious career, he has held several crucial positions and possesses comprehensive knowledge of power sector management and field operations. His extensive professional experience has given him profound insights into the technical, administrative, and operational facets of the electricity distribution system, which is highly beneficial for TESCO given its unique geographical and administrative challenges.

Upon assuming his new position, Mr. Kundi pledged to collaborate with TESCO’s staff to bolster the company’s overall performance, elevate customer services, decrease line losses, boost recovery rates, and fortify administrative and operational systems. He stressed that maintaining professional discipline, fostering teamwork, rigorous monitoring, embracing modern technology, and improving field operations would remain paramount for TESCO's growth and advancement.
