Yamuna Expressway Accident: 4 Killed After Speeding Trailer Breaks Divider, Crashes Into Car In Greater Noida's Jewar; VIDEOS

Four individuals tragically lost their lives in a collision on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida's Jewar area on the night of August 30, 2026. The accident involved a speeding trailer that allegedly lost control, broke through the divider, and crashed into a car. An anonymous Dial 112 call alerted authorities to the collision.

The vehicle, a Baleno carrying four passengers, was traveling from Mathura towards Noida when it was struck by the trailer moving from Noida towards Agra in the opposite direction. The impact was severe, causing the Baleno to be completely destroyed on the driver's side and trapping its occupants inside. DCP Ravi Shankar Neem confirmed that the trailer had broken through the median barrier on its right before entering the lane with traffic heading towards Noida.

Police and rescue personnel, including senior officials from Jewar, Jewar ACP, Greater Noida ADCP, and DCP Neem, responded to the scene. The four victims were found unconscious and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The accident resulted in significant traffic disruption, with vehicles queuing on both sides of the expressway.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the identities of the victims are yet to be established. The trailer and its driver are currently in police custody, and police are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the cause of the accident and the factors that led to the trailer losing control.
