Mike and Mary Moore, a Tulsa couple, were shot dead in a tragic incident at their towing business months after adopting their 12-year-old daughter. The shooting occurred at Mike’s Towing on North Garnett Road after a dispute over a towed vehicle escalated into a physical confrontation. Darius Jones, the suspect, shot the business owners and then returned fire, hitting Jones in the arm before the couple succumbed to their injuries.

Catoosa First Church, where the Moore family was well-known, expressed their gratitude for the community's support and asked for privacy during their mourning. A GoFundMe campaign was launched by the church to help cover funeral expenses and provide support for the Moore's daughter, who was recently adopted.
