‘Whether NDC likes it or not, Bawumia will become President in 2028’ – Amin Adam

Former Finance Minister and Karaga MP Dr Mohammed Amin Adam has voiced certainty that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will ascend to Ghana's presidency in 2028. He insisted that Dr Bawumia's win will occur irrespective of opposition from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). "If the NDC likes it or not, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will become the President of the Republic," Dr Amin Adam declared during a visit to Kpukpalga, where he inaugurated a new Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound.

The MP also criticized the NDC government for not adequately grasping the needs of Ghana's rural farming communities, specifically Kpukpalga. He lambasted initiatives like the construction of a 24-hour market and a dollar exchange rate system for such areas, deeming them wasteful of public resources considering the community's farming orientation.

Dr Amin Adam argued that the government's focus should instead be on policies and interventions that directly enhance the livelihoods of farmers. He emphasized the necessity of reliable and profitable prices for agricultural produce and reduced costs for farming inputs to make agriculture more lucrative and sustainable.
