Titans practice squad tracker

Tennessee Titans are set to bolster their practice squad by adding several players who will be on waivers today. DT Laki Tasi, a big and developmental talent born in Samoa, is expected to join the squad. Tasi, who played rugby in Australia, grew up in Samoa and could be the Titans' International Practice Program (IPP) guy.

RB Michael Carter was released earlier in the day, and there's a strong likelihood he will end up on the practice squad. CB Derrick Canteen, who had an interception during the preseason, is also projected to be added if he clears waivers. WR Tyren Montgomery, a rookie UDFA, and TE Joel Wilson, who was in contention for the TE4 role, are also expected additions to the practice squad.

DB Bishop Fitzgerald and CB Jalen McMurray, both rookies UDFA, are also potential additions. The Titans will have until 5:00 PM Central Time to trim their roster to 53 players. Players released today and with less than four years of service are subject to waivers until 12:00 PM Central. After that, any unclaimed players will be free agents, with the option to sign with another team or join the practice squad. Practice squads can have up to 17 players, including up to 10 rookies or second-year players.
