Three Arrested as Guardia Civil Shut Down Two Vega Baja Drug Outlets

The Guardia Civil has made three arrests and dismantled two suspected drug distribution points in Vega Baja, according to reports. The suspects, a 34-year-old man, a 53-year-old man, and a 29-year-old woman, are being investigated for drug trafficking, money laundering, and membership in a criminal group. The operation, which began after receiving information about a suspicious property, revealed that the group was operating from two separate homes in Daya Vieja and Formentera del Segura.

Authorities seized 575 grams of cannabis, 22 synthetic drug tablets, cocaine, MDMA, hashish, and around €3,000 in cash. Additionally, they confiscated four replica handguns, a large machete, three mid-range and luxury vehicles, and sophisticated equipment like GPS tracking devices and a drone. The three suspects were detained and later appeared before the Orihuela Court of Instance, with their release contingent on precautionary measures pending further legal proceedings.
