Sergio Perez trying to help hire lure F1 personnel to Cadillac

Sergio Perez, a seasoned Formula 1 driver, has been attempting to sway Cadillac's hiring decisions for its inaugural season in the sport. The Porsche driver, who has raced for Sauber, McLaren, Force India/Racing Point, and Red Bull, asserts that while he cannot directly control personnel selection, he has been offering guidance to aid the team in identifying potential candidates.

Perez, with his extensive experience in the paddock, is well-acquainted with many skilled professionals within the industry. He has been actively suggesting individuals he believes would be beneficial to Cadillac's team. Despite not being involved in the final decision-making process, Perez's influence on the hiring process is evident as the demand for Cadillac's talent pool has been growing.

Perez believes that the American team has gained from the influx of various manufacturers in Formula 1, citing the US automaker's existing motorsport experience in other series as a valuable asset. He further highlights that such collaborations can lead to innovative ideas and techniques, drawing parallels with McLaren's successful collaboration with its IndyCar team.

Perez emphasizes the importance of being open to learning from other series and applying those learnings to enhance Formula 1 performance.
