Sara Netanyahu hints at conspiracy that Yair Golan had early knowledge of October 7 massacre

Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, hinted at a conspiracy theory on Channel 14 that Democrats party chairman Yair Golan had prior knowledge of the October 7 massacre. She questioned why the prime minister needed to be informed about a war breaking out, when such events were already unfolding early in the morning.

When asked directly about the accusations of betrayal, Sara Netanyahu declined to comment, calling for a committee to investigate the claims. The Democratic Party strongly condemned Sara Netanyahu's remarks, calling them slanderous and false, and accusing her and her husband of tarnishing Yair Golan's bravery on October 7.

Democrats MK Gilad Kariv threatened to expel the couple from the Prime Minister's Office after the upcoming election. Meanwhile, Blue and White party chairman Benny Gantz also denounced Sara Netanyahu's statements, praising Yair Golan as a brave warrior who put his life on the line for Israel on multiple occasions, including on October 7. Gantz called for a royal commission of inquiry to put an end to the conspiracy theories and allow lessons to be learned.
