Saka strikes as flawless Arsenal punish troubled Villa

Arsenal maintained their flawless start to the Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over struggling Aston Villa at Villa Park on Monday. Bukayo Saka sealed the win with a second-half goal, marking his second consecutive win for Mikel Arteta's side. The Gunners have now taken maximum points from their first two matches without conceding a goal, sending a clear message to their title rivals.

Arteta fielded the same starting lineup that had won their season opener against Coventry 10 days earlier. Saka, who scored in that victory, again delivered a valuable contribution with a stunning strike. Substitutes Ezri Konsa, coming off the bench for his Arsenal debut after moving from Villa in a £51 million deal, and England goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, in his first appearance for the Gunners, also played key roles.

Villa, who have lost both of their opening games, now appear a shadow of their former selves after selling several key players in the summer. The departure of key players like Konsa, Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, Emiliano Martinez, Lucas Digne and Youri Tielemans has left manager Unai Emery with a challenging task ahead.
