Roma Increase the Level of Experience of Their Roster

Roma has adjusted the caliber of their squad roster by signing Martin De Roon from Atalanta and Leonardo Balerdi from Olympique Marseille. They did not finalize the acquisition of Fenerbahce due to the severity of the injuries sustained by their fullbacks.

The transfer of Morato to Nottingham Forest was not completed because the English club demanded an immediate permanent deal. Instead, Balerdi was brought in on a loan deal with a €15M conditional obligation to buy. He will replace Neil El Aynaoui, who is moving to RB Leipzig for a potential €29M deal.

Roma's midfield anchor, Gianluca Gaetano, was persuaded by Maurizio Sarri to leave Atalanta. He will replace El Aynaoui in the new lineup. Roma currently have their eyes on Zenit's Luiz Henrique and Stuttgart's Jamie Leweling for their frontline. If Matias Soulé leaves the team, they might sign an additional player.
