Rescuer runs 1.5 miles with blood to save climber after 20-foot fall

A climber suffered serious injuries after falling 15 to 20 feet while tackling a challenging route near Shortoff Mountain in North Carolina. During the rescue, a Burke Rescue volunteer ran 1.5 miles through Linville Gorge, climbing 1,000 feet in 31 minutes while carrying critical whole blood to help stabilise the injured climber.
