Protest marking anniversary of 'Beautiful Six' hostages' deaths held at Prime Minister's Residence

On Monday, activists from the Women Demand Life movement gathered in front of Israel's Prime Minister's Residence to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the return of the six bodies of Gaza hostages who were murdered by Hamas. The detainees, whose identities are Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Ori Danino, were kidnapped during the October 7 massacre. The protesters displayed a sign that read, "We won't forget; they could have returned alive."

The protesters aimed to highlight what they perceived as a lack of accountability from the government regarding the responsibility for the hostages' deaths. According to Ynet News, the government has been accused of covering up and lying since the October 7 attack. The activists claimed that the prime minister rejected deals that could have led to the hostages' return while they were still fighting for their lives.

The group also protested in Tel Aviv on August 9 to demand a commission of inquiry into the October 7 massacre, alongside honoring The Beautiful Six.
