Ogwumike, Burrell lead Sparks past Storm 90-74

Nneka Ogwumike contributed 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Los Angeles Sparks defeated the Seattle Storm 90-74 on Sunday. The game marked the final match for the Sparks before the FIBA World Cup break. The Sparks started strongly, leading 18-2 after the first 18 minutes. Dearica Hamby sealed the early lead with a layup with 5:45 remaining in the first half, extending the Sparks' lead to 39-20.

Seattle struggled from the field, shooting just 32% (12 of 38), and from the three-point line, registering only 2 successful shots out of 11 attempts (18%). Cameron Brink contributed 11 points on 3-of-15 shooting for the Sparks, who were held without a 3-pointer in the second half. Flau’jae Johnson led the Seattle effort with 19 points, but the team finished the game at 8-32 from the three-point line.
