The IMD stated that widespread heavy rainfall is not expected, but isolated pockets might receive moderate to heavy showers accompanied by gusty winds, with wind speeds between 40 and 50 kmph, and gusts potentially reaching 50-60 kmph during intense rain spells. The highest temperature is expected to be around 33°C, while the lowest temperature recorded on Monday morning was 30°C.

Mumbai and the surrounding region had several moderate to heavy rain spells during the early days of August, but rainfall activity later in the month decreased to occasional light to moderate showers. Mumbai's air quality remained good on Monday morning, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 17, classified as Good . Commuters should stay cautious during intense showers and gusty winds, especially when traveling through open areas and low-lying regions.

Despite the light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected, no rain alert is currently in effect, indicating generally manageable monsoon conditions are expected in Mumbai this week.
